Doing shit I didn't wantOct 18, 2021
Daring to set boundaries is about having the courage to love ourselves even when we risk disappointing others - Brene Brown
I did it for too long. Doing shit I didn't want, like or enjoy to please the people who weren't really my people. In hope to be 'liked' to 'fit in' or to 'conform'.
Yesterday I held a Boundaries training in The Soulful Academy on everything I've learnt in the past 11 years.
The comments the women made were -
'Boundaries can be and are everywhere/in all parts of your life'
'I can't take on how others feel to my boundary. that's their emotion not mine'
'I now have the steps to healthy boundaries and how to communicate better'
This often means saying no, listening to the whisper of your soul and your intuition communicating to you.
Please know -
💗Saying No is ok
💗You don't have to do things which don't feel good to you
💗Do what sets YOUR soul on fire
💗Your people will LOVE you regardless of what you say yes/no to
💗When you start to say NO to things your HELL YES things come to you
What is the funniest thing you've done to please someone and you really did not like it? 💩
